Rent-A-Center, the nation’s largest rent-to-own retailer, utilizes TrueNet Communications to support its communications infrastructure and voice/data/computer systems at all 3000+ retail RAC locations in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
Scope of Work
TrueNet deploys and supports all network infrastructure, voice/data communications systems and computer systems at 3000+ Rent-A-Center stores. The scope of the work varies from day-to-day service tickets to network infrastructure projects of all types. An example of a typical project was the conversion in a single month of 170 The Rental Store (TRS) kiosk locations to RAC Acceptance in-house network and systems. Before it was purchased by Rent-A-Center, TRS operated rent-to-own kiosks at third-party retailers and electronics stores nationwide. The conversion required three sites visits to each store: Trip 1 to run network cables for the transition to RAC equipment from TRS equipment, Trip 2 to install the RAC equipment (telecom equipment, router, computers, wireless access point, etc.) beside the TRS equipment, and Trip 3 to de-install TRS equipment, box up, and return to RAC’s designated location. During that same month, TrueNet Communications also handled for RAC 60+ new store installations, relocations and remodels and day-to-day service tickets.
The Rent-A-Center contract contains very stringent SLAs. TrueNet has met or exceeded the SLAs every quarter since the contract was signed.
