TrueNet Communications Names New CEO
Erich Schlegel to Lead Fujitsu Integration and Future Growth Opportunities
Jacksonville, Florida (August 5, 2016) – TrueNet Communications announced today that Erich Schlegel has been appointed as its new CEO. In addition to helping complete the current integration of TrueNet into the Fujitsu Network Communications (FNC) family, FNC President and CEO Mikito Kiname says Schlegel will be responsible for guiding the growth of TrueNet and expanding new business opportunities.
Following a distinguished career as an officer in the United States Air Force, Schlegel joined FNC in December of 2000 where he has served as Manager of Operations, Director of Operations, Sr. Director of Manufacturing, Vice President of Business Management, and Vice President of Network Delivery.
In those positions, he was instrumental in supply chain operations, manufacturing, business management, and services. He earned his bachelor’s degree in physics at the United States Air Force Academy and his MBA from Cameron University.
Since FNC acquired TrueNet in May 2016, leadership from both companies and the joint integration team have been working closely together. To help ensure a smooth and effective transition, previous TrueNet CEO Tom Prestwood agreed to remain onboard for a short time immediately following the acquisition, which has now concluded.
