TrueNet Energy Solutions Nears 2 Millionth Smart Meter Milestone on Energy Project
December 17, 2012 – Alpharetta, GA
Less than a year after installing the 1 millionth smart meter on a major southeastern based project, TrueNet Communications announced today that its operating subsidiary, TrueNet Energy Solutions, is nearing the project’s 2 millionth smart meter milestone.
“Over the past year, we’ve been installing between 15 and 17 thousand commercial and residential smart meters a week,” stated Tim Strickland, TrueNet Energy Solutions Vice President. “At the rate we are going, we will reach the 2 millionth meter milestone sometime during the 2nd quarter of 2013. It is a testament to the quality of our field installers and supervisors and our training methodologies that since the beginning of the project, we have not had a significant lost time work-related event. I want to thank everyone involved in the project for their hard work and diligence and their commitment to the highest standards of safety and quality.”
By the time the project, one of the country’s largest smart meter deployments, is completed in late 2013, it is anticipated that TrueNet Energy Solutions will have installed upwards of 2.5 million meters.
